NAS for back up of NAS?

Hello,

I've a DS418play with 4x 3TB drives and need to think about backing this up. Im looking to buy a mother Synology NAS to use as a backup, is there anything I need to consider before buying this 2nd NAS? Will probably be a 2nd hand 2 bay device.

Honestly, any model will do the job. But do stick with Synology, they will both work better together with their internal backup apps.Any J series or values series NAS will do.I hope this helps.
