Synology NAS slows down when accessing remotely after DSM update – Please help check

#1
Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my Synology NAS after updating to the latest DSM version. When accessing remotely using QuickConnect or connecting via DDNS, the download speed drops sharply, only about 2–3 MB/s, even though my connection is stable.

Some information I have checked:

NAS uses Synology DS920+

DSM just updated the new version last week

Internal LAN connection is still fast

Tried changing the port but the remote speed still drops

No CPU or RAM warning appears

I want to ask:

Has anyone experienced a slow NAS after updating DSM?

Is there a setting in the new DSM that limits the external connection speed?

Should I rollback to the previous DSM version, or is there any optimization method before doing this step?

I hope someone with experience can share more. I want to handle it thoroughly because the NAS serves daily work.

Thanks everyone.
