If your goal is to use a 10TB drive for audio editing inside a standard desktop PC, I’d recommend avoiding NAS or enterprise drives, since they’re tuned for 24/7 multi-bay vibration control rather than low noise and fast seek times.

For a DAW like Dissonant, you’ll get the best performance with a high-RPM desktop-class drive or, ideally, an SSD for your active project files. Use the 10TB HDD purely for long-term storage or backup.

If you do want a reliable HDD for that budget (around INR 22K), look at:
• Seagate Barracuda Pro 10TB (ST10000DM0004) – fast and quiet enough for local storage.
• WD Black 10TB (WD101FZBX) – excellent sustained write speeds and reliability.

Keep your OS and DAW on SSD/NVMe, then save raw recordings or archived sessions to the HDD. That’s the ideal balance of speed, cost, and durability.
