have you reviewed any DIY NAS motherboards that have an SFP+ adapter built in? I thought you held one up when you were reviewing a N100 DIY NAS, but I haven't seen a review on it, or I just cant find it.

I do fiber optic cabling and having a SFP+ port is just more flexible for me.

Yes, I’ve covered a few DIY NAS motherboards with built-in SFP+ recently. You’re right that during the N100-based NAS reviews I highlighted some boards that included onboard 10GbE, and a couple of them were SFP+ rather than RJ45. The one you may be remembering is the CWWK P6 NAS motherboard, which comes in N100 and N150 variants and includes an integrated 10GbE SFP+ port alongside standard networking. Another option I looked at more recently is the MINIROUTE/CWWK N7 NAS board, which uses a Ryzen 8845HS CPU and has dual 10GbE (one RJ45, one SFP+). Both are ITX form factor and geared towards DIY NAS builds.

If you want something ready now that is affordable, the CWWK P6 is the more common choice. If you want a higher end system with more lanes, faster CPU and expansion options, the N7 is stronger but more expensive. For DIY flexibility with fiber cabling, either of these should work well since they avoid the need for an additional PCIe NIC.
