Hey Nas Compadres. I am trying to authenticate my dropbox account with Hybrid Backup 3 but I continue to recieve the error " Authentication Error. Failed to connect to cloud server".
Some forums I have seen said to open QTS in HTTP instead of HTTPS. I have no idea how or if I did it correct but nothing seems to work. Would love to pay for an hour google meet session to try diagnosing this?

Here is something I found on Qnap forum:

Ok, I can share a workaround that seems to work for me.
It seems that if you force SSL connections (HTTPS) then Hybrid Backup Sync won't be able to authenticate cloud accounts: so disable ssl enforcements, connect to QNAP admin website through HTTP, add every account you like then re-enable SSL enforcement. Every account you added should be still available using HTTPS.

The same workaround (temporarily disabling mandatory https) worked for me.
Once credentials are saved, https can be set madatory again and still the cloud account can be selected to create/edit sync jobs.
Qnap absolutely should deliver a fix but for now this helped me as an exceptional workaround.
