Seagate 20TB Ironwolf Pro ST20000NT001

Hi,

I have just bought a Seagate 20TB Ironwolf Pro ST20000NT001 and inserted in to my DS920+ which is already populated with 2 10TB Ironwolf Pros.

I can't seem to get this new drive to work.

I am running DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 4.

It shows up on the drive list, but I can't create a storage pool or add it to the current one. It says it can't add because there is no health status.

What could be the problem?

It looks like Synology are blocking drives bigger than 18TB to push their own drive sales (toshiba). You may try this https://nascompares.com/answer/hdd-compa...d-message/
