RE shared files and terramaster

hey guys, hoping you can help me out, i followed all your videos on youtube from learning about nas to buying a terramaster f4-421 and setting it up,
i have 3 x 8tb drives in traid and a volume1 contains 13tb of media ive been using to stream plex off the nas.

ive got a problem where my public folder that i was using to share data from volume 1 has disappeared, even if i create a new shared file on volume 1 i dont know how to get it to access the data from my volume,

so im left with all my data i cant access!

please help me!

Maybe this helps
"Go to control panel, Users,click on the more drop-down and pick advanced settings. Is the 'enable user home directory' option ticked? If not then tick it and apply."
