Some time ago I received the CWWK Q670 Motherboard, the version that has a 2 SFF-8643 onboard ports instead of the 8-sata ports. I originally ordered that one, but they decided to send me this version instead as the 8-sata port version wasn't available anymore. I decided to give this one a try, so I've been experimenting with it to see what would be a good layout for a combination of HDD and NVME disks.
According to the attached picture, from their product page, it should be possible to change the onboard SFF-8643 PCIe connector from 4 PCI3.0 x 1 signals to 1 PCI3.0 x 4 signal via the BIOS, but so far I haven't figured it out which setting(s) this would be. I checked everything that made sense, but no luck so far. The BIOS version is the one that came with the board, I couldn't find a more recent version on their support page. There's one for the Q670 8-sata version, but attempting to use that one results in the error "The host CPU does not have write access to the target flash area.", which probably indicates it's not a suitable BIOS version.
I've tried to contact CWWK support for 2 weeks now, with no reply yet. Any ideas would be very welcome.

Hi, I have stumbled upon this thread via a Google Search. I have also received the CWWK Q670-4L (The version with 2 SFF-8643 ports). But flashed the wrong bios (for the Q670 instead of Q670-4L).
To recover I have purchased a CH341a bios programmer, would you be able to tell me the Bios Chip used on your board? I can't read it of the chip. I'm hoping you can find it in the bios settings.
In the meantime I have also reached out to CWWK over their chat, but it's been 2 days without response.
Hello.
The same thing happened to me, when updating the bios I got the wrong file and had to reprogram it with a CH341A.
The bios is located on the back and the chip is marked as Bios_1. My model is MX25L25673G
The link to the download is in the NAS bios part (it is number 10)
Be careful, there are 2 bios for this motherboard, M.2 and U2. English translation is
M2 = CW-Q670-NAS-4L_(Supports 6 M.2 versions) 2024.10.24_NoLogo_Default BIOS.iso ... this is the one that ships by default with the board. It has SFF8643 3.0 4x1
U2 = CW-Q670-NAS-4L_(Supports U2 version)2024.10.24_NoLogo.iso ... I haven't tested this one but I'm assuming it's for using SFF8643 3.0 1x4 (I haven't tested this one and I'm not sure. Only try it if you have a CH341A programmer to reprogram the chip)
same here, just curious, were you able to change the bios setting for the 4 pcie3.0x1 to 1 pcie3.0x4, and if so where did you find it?
it seems they have a new firmware (CW-Q670-NAS-4L_(Support 6 xM.2 NVMe)2024.10.24_BIOS)
my board is currently on BIOS Version CH-Q670-NAS-4L-4X1 (8-12-2024)
