I have a QNAP TS-251 2-bay NAS that no longer recognizes the 2nd HDD, even though the drive is fine. Apparently, this is a common problem based on forums. I would like to replace the NAS with a new QNAP and I'm leaning toward purchasing the TS-464 4-bay.
I want to know if I'm able to migrate the existing WD30EFRX (3TB) drives to the new NAS and combine them with new WD80EFZZ (8TB) drives. Or if it is not recommended that I combine WD Red drives vintage 2015 with new WD Red Plus drives. Is there anything I should be aware of?
Thanks.
