Synology NAS Upgrade

#1
I had a DS218play until. Was OK but slow so I wnat to upgrade.
I'm building my house and will get it for december 2023.
(So I can wait until then if needed)
I can rack mount the NAS, so it's the prefered form factor, but it is not mandatory.
users : 14 , (no more than 2~3 simultaneous)
synology photos, audio/video station, network files share is the main use
planed array : SHR1 (3x8TB) -> I want to be able to do Data Scrubbing

I'm thinking of getting the RS1221+ OR RS822+. what do you think ? Any better recomandation ?

Thank you

Both the RS1221+ and RS822+ are excellent NAS models from Synology. They are essentially the same device, just with different numbers of bays. Both will provide you with great performance for the tasks you described, including local streaming up to 4K, data scrubbing, photo management, and more.
