Hello,
Would ssd caching help to improve thumbnail generation and qsirch indexing? I just bought a qnap qgd-3014-16PT and I have a couple of TB of photos and videos to organize but the has thumbnail generation and indexing has been going for a couple of days and still has a long way to go. thanks

But metadata generations will depend on HDD and CPU speed. If you had your main library on SSD, this would speed things up. Caching itself speed up repetitious file access.
