DS920+ 20GB RAM Unofficial Upgrade?

I''d like to ask the following,

I've seen the claims for the 20GB RAM (unofficial) upgrade for DS920+. This is indeed awesome news, but my question is the following.

The DS920+ is powered by an Intel® Celeron® J4125 Processor, and in the official Intel page for the processor, they declare that the processor supports 8GB Maximum RAM.

How is it possible for the 20GB (4+16) to be usable?

Yes, the CPU specs say that there is an 8GB limit per channel which makes it 16GB. But in real life, we have upgraded to 20GB and have managed to allocate this extra RAM to Virtual machines. And it worked just fine. We do recommend Crucial memory though.I hope this helps.
