Synology for mac users?

Need a private cloud solution to back up a family of iphones. I got a DS220J and seems to work, but the web interface is horribly slow for 'moments'. Would the 220+ be sufficient? We have 3 iphones need to back up and would like to access the images/vids on computer which is why a snappy web interface is a must. Must I go with the 720+ or higher ?

I'm a linux hobbyist and don't mind doing techie stuff, but have no time, so I'm leaning toward Synology since it seem to be the most straight forward based on the research I've done.

Yes, J series models are really weak. Plus series models like 220+ /720+ would be much faster.You will also not be limited to what you can do with this NAS. And finally, you can upgrade it or expand it at a later stage. Making this a future-proof choice.I hope this helps.
