F2 425 Plus memory upgrade

#1
After a previous question and a bit of a debate I've purchased a Terramaster F2 425 Plus to replace my older Synology.
Generally happy with it but TOS 6 was vary flaky, with even snapshot failing to work reliably, so I've switched to True NAS. Which, so far, seems much more reliable but its using a lot of memory.
The official Terra-master memory prices seems way to high so I'm looking to replace the module with crucial or similar so struggling to find more detailed specs of exactly what is required.

Should this work?

The F2-425 uses standard DDR4 SODIMM memory, non ECC. It has only 1 memory slot and officially supports up to 16GB. TerraMaster just rebrands OEM RAM, so third party is fine.

The Crucial DDR5 module you linked will not work. The F2-425 requires DDR4 SODIMM.

Look instead for something like:

• Crucial 16GB DDR4 3200 SODIMM
or
• Kingston 16GB DDR4 3200 SODIMM

Any JEDEC standard non ECC DDR4 SODIMM at 2666 or 3200 will run without issues.

TrueNAS will use all available RAM, so upgrading to 16GB is the right move.
