New to NAS. Objective is to automatically backup files, be it created new or edited, organised in folders, accessible at home or outside or overseas. Another objective is to be able to create a separate secure folder for family and friends to access, for example, photos, videos, etc. Next objective is to unable a separate secure folder for all home devices to automatically backup and accessible. Please advise. Thank you.

For your requirements, the Synology DS224+ would be a suitable option. This 2-bay NAS comes with a quad-core Intel Celeron J4125 processor, offering decent performance for file storage, backup, and sharing tasks. With its 2GB of DDR4 non-ECC RAM, it can handle basic multitasking efficiently. The DS224+ supports Synology's versatile DiskStation Manager (DSM) software, providing easy setup and management of various applications for automatic file backup, folder organization, and remote access.
