Curious. I have a DS1621XS+ and I have a leftover 8GB ram module (from 32gb upgrade) that i'd like to use in a new 1522 (now that it supports M.2 Pool in DSM 7.2!!!!) Synology lists different ram compatibility on the site, but as far as I can tell, the specs are the same. Do you know if these two are compatible?
Synology D4ES02-8G vs D4ES01-8G That is, will the 1522 accept the 8gb stick from the 1621xs+?

Both the Synology D4ES02-8G and D4ES01-8G are DDR4-2666 unbuffered SO-DIMM RAM modules designed for Synology NAS systems.
According to Synology's website, the D4ES02-8G is listed as compatible with the DS1520+, which is the predecessor of the DS1522+. However, the DS1522+ is also listed as supporting DDR4-2666 unbuffered SO-DIMM RAM modules, so it is possible that the D4ES02-8G would work in the DS1522+ as well.
That being said, it's always best to use RAM modules that are officially listed as compatible by Synology to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. If you have any doubts or concerns, it's best to contact Synology's support team for further assistance.
