Request for Combi card

#1
Dear Sir/Ma'am,

is there a place or a way , where i can make a product request
for minis forum
a combi card

(4 × 10GbE SFP+ ) + 3 * [3 * (44 NVMe SSD)]
or
(2 × 10GbE SFP+ ) + [3 (44 NvMe SSD)]

I have a MINISFORUM 795S7 (AMD Ryzen™ 9 7945HX (795S7))
with 88 or 444*4 bifurcation supported

so now as the Desktop is aging , i wanted to convert it into a NAS

Your 795S7 has good PCIe bifurcation support, but the kind of card you are imagining is essentially a specialist enterprise carrier board. Four SFP plus ports combined with three banks of NVMe slots on a single card would require a very large PCIe envelope and active cooling. That is not something Minisforum builds for their consumer line.

If you want to convert the 795S7 into a NAS today, the realistic path is to split the functions across separate cards. For example, use a dedicated four port ten gig SFP plus NIC and then use a separate PCIe to NVMe expansion card that supports x16 to four or eight NVMe drives. Those exist from companies like Supermicro and ASRock Rack, and they work well in systems with proper bifurcation support.

If you really need a card with massive NVMe density, look at products like the HighPoint SSD7540 or similar multi port NVMe RAID carrier boards. They are expensive, but they are built for exactly this task. Then add a normal dual or quad port SFP plus NIC alongside it.
