bios settings accessible of dxp2800 to enable boot from usb SSD (for true Nas scale)

#1
Hi I'm hoping to purchase a ugreen dxp2800 but want option of being able to put truenas scale on it without wiping the ugreen UGos pro OS on it in case I want to revert back. As nobody seems to have done a complete teardown of the nas I was hoping you could tell me if you still have yours if it's possible to go into the bios of the dxp2800 and change boot options to boot from usb SSD??
Thanks

A friend of mine actually did a teardown of the DXP2800 recently, and it looks like the UGOS Pro OS is stored on a soldered SSD — so not something easily swappable or removable.

That said, it’s still worth trying to connect an HDMI monitor and USB keyboard. If you’re lucky, you might be able to interrupt the boot and get into the BIOS to change the boot order. But to be honest, it’s looking a bit unlikely. UGREEN seems to have locked it down pretty tight, probably to keep users inside their ecosystem.

Still, if you’ve already got one or manage to get your hands on it, it doesn’t hurt to try.
