It sounds like Plex is only recognizing your first volume (Volume 1) and not the new Volume 2. Here's a checklist to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Volume Status: Ensure that Volume 2 is properly created and formatted. Go to the Terramaster web interface and verify that Volume 2 is online and healthy. Permissions: Make sure that the user account Plex is using has access to the shared folder on Volume 2. You may need to adjust the permissions to allow Plex to access that volume: Go to the Control Panel > Shared Folders and ensure the appropriate permissions are set. Also, check if Plex has the correct read/write permissions for the folder containing your media. Plex Library Settings: When you add media to Plex, ensure you're manually adding media from the correct folder on Volume 2. Sometimes Plex doesn’t automatically detect new volumes or folders, and you might need to go to Plex Settings > Manage Libraries > Add Library and choose the appropriate folder from Volume 2. Rescan Libraries: If the volume is set up correctly and Plex still doesn't see it, try forcing a rescan of your Plex library or restart the Plex server. Reboot: Sometimes, a simple reboot of both your Terramaster NAS and the Plex server can resolve issues with volume detection. |
