Second NAS

#1
Hey SO I have a QNAP TS 233 which is getting FULL.......

So I was thinking best option for long term is the qnap TS 464 with 4 x 8GB disks.....

Can you run them both through the same QTS interface or do they need to be run separate I presume as they will have different names.....

Each NAS will have its own admin panel for managing settings and configurations, so they won’t be fully integrated in terms of management. However, you can use Virtual JBOD or link one NAS to the other to manage the storage aspect from a single point. This allows you to map storage from one NAS to the other, effectively creating a unified storage pool that you can manage more easily, even though they remain separate systems.

This setup can simplify the management of storage across both NAS units while maintaining their distinct administrative functions.
