camera vs DVR

#1
Your honest opinion, would you go with a pair of Ubiquity AI pro cameras or get the Synology DVA 1622?

I am looking for the enhanced video analytics.

How is your Ubiquity program going?

First off, both options have their strengths. The Ubiquiti AI Pro cameras are known for their high-quality video capture and advanced AI-driven analytics. If you prefer a more decentralized setup where each camera handles its own processing, this could be a strong choice. The AI capabilities are impressive, and Ubiquiti’s ecosystem is generally user-friendly with solid support. My experience with Ubiquiti has been quite positive—the setup is straightforward, and the performance has been reliable.

On the other hand, the Synology DVA1622 offers powerful centralized video analytics. This device leverages deep learning algorithms to provide advanced features such as facial recognition, people counting, and vehicle detection. If you’re looking for comprehensive analytics that can be managed from a single point, the DVA1622 is a compelling option. It integrates well with other Synology products and offers extensive customization options.
