NAS

#1
Purpose:
- Business use and highest level of encryption for customer data
- VM usage for many services which will be running for a small business level of people
- 4k or 8k content media services
- 10gbe (either built in or expandable)
- quiet system in terms of noise preferably something that can be placed on the floor or a desk. No a racked server. So portable.
-Supports 32gb ddr4 with ecc for reliability
- for now would need to support up to 20tb but expandable later

Apart from the NAS itself, and in terms of the most dependable and reliable storage drives for this unit what would you recommend without going to crazy for the budget of say 500 per drive.

Thank you for reaching out with your requirements for a business-grade NAS setup. Based on your needs for high encryption, VM usage, 4K/8K media services, 10GbE connectivity, quiet operation, and expandability up to 20TB, I've reviewed several options within your budget constraints. Here’s a detailed recommendation that aligns with your needs:

Recommended NAS: QNAP TS-673A
Processor: AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B quad-core 2.2 GHz (up to 3.2 GHz)
Memory: 8GB DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 32GB)
Drive Bays: 6 x 3.5"/2.5" SATA HDD/SSD bays
Expansion: 2 x M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 x1 slots
Network: 2 x 2.5GbE LAN ports (expandable with LAN card)
Special Features: Supports AES-NI hardware-accelerated encryption, Virtualization Station for VM deployment, HDMI output for media streaming in 4K, and QNAP's comprehensive QTS operating system for robust data management and security.
Reasons for Recommendation:
Performance: The Ryzen processor and DDR4 RAM offer powerful performance suitable for VMs and media services, ensuring smooth multitasking and data handling.

Reliability: QNAP NAS systems are known for their reliability and advanced data protection features, including RAID configurations and backup solutions.

Expandability: With 6 drive bays and M.2 slots, the TS-673A provides ample storage capacity and options for future expansion, accommodating your growing storage needs.

Connectivity: It comes with 2.5GbE LAN ports and can be upgraded with additional LAN cards for 10GbE connectivity, ensuring high-speed network access for demanding applications.

Value: Priced competitively within your budget, the TS-673A offers excellent value with its combination of performance, expandability, and reliability.

Storage Drives Recommendation:
To maximize storage capacity and reliability, I recommend pairing the TS-673A with WD Red Plus 10TB SATA HDDs. These drives are designed for
