Saw your review about using non-Synology HDDs in the 22+ series and DSM 7.1.
Do you know if the RS1221+ will support the WD Red Pro 18, 20, and 22TB drives?
Don't want to order 8 of them to find that they won't be supported at all. I'm OK (not really) with the unverified warning.
Thanks!

To my knowledge, the WD Red Pro 18, 20, and 22TB drives are not specifically listed as compatible with the Synology RS1221+. However, that doesn't necessarily mean they won't work.
It's worth noting that Synology has a compatibility list for their NAS systems that lists the hard drives that have been tested and confirmed to be compatible with their devices. This is a good starting point to determine which hard drives will work with a particular Synology NAS. If a hard drive is not listed on the compatibility list, it doesn't mean it won't work, but it's always best to verify compatibility with Synology before purchasing to ensure compatibility and avoid any potential issues.
Additionally, it's also important to consider the firmware version of the hard drive, as some older firmware versions may not be compatible with the latest version of DSM. In this case, it's recommended to check the compatibility of the firmware version of the WD Red Pro drives with the Synology RS1221+ and DSM 7.1 before purchasing.
