Recently got your comments about the QNAP TS-664, however you also stated that it wasn't the most feasible solution for TrueNAS. Besides building my own NAS, are there any NAS solutions that aren't manufactured in China and that support TrueNAS? I have a security concern with Chinese made NAS due to the possibility of data exposure, possibly via some backdoors in Chinese manufactured products. I'd prefer Taiwan, UK or any other country that manufactures a NAS. I want to purchase a commercial off the shelf box with the capability to expand, that doesn't support proprietary hard drives, that is quiet as it's in a home office not a closet and supports streaming of AV, plus storing lots of photos and files (documents, pdfs and etc). Is there anything that meets these parameters and if so, what type of pricing would I be looking at if under 1K isn't possible? Thanks again.
