SSD Boot Drive - Enquiries - 04-20-2023 Hi i want to change my 2x 250gb ssd in raid 1/volume 1 config to 2x 500gb ssd in raid 1/volume 1 config. My data is stored on 2x 8tb seagate hdd's as volume 2 and i cant afford to lose the data on these drives. I have heard you can eject these drives chnage over your boot drives and reinsert them with no issues. I just wanted to know if this is the case before i commit to changing my boot drive. Many thanks. John RE: SSD Boot Drive - ed - 04-21-2023 The first volume you create will be used for NAS OS. This means your additional drives will need to be formated before you can use them as a secondary RAID. |
