Black Friday UPS deals - Enquiries - 11-24-2025
Hi. I've had a DS218 for a few years, mainly for multimedia and file storage. Home electricity seems generally good, but there's been one or two power cuts for just a second or two. It never occurs to me the NAS needs restarted until I'm away from home and realise it's down. I've been meaning to get a UPS for a while but never got around to it. Are there any good Black Friday deals just now for what I need? Thanks

Thanks for the message. Yes, there are good Black Friday UPS deals right now. For a DS218 you only need a small line interactive unit and there are several discounted models worth considering. Have a look here: https://amzn.to/4pskFfh and check the PowerWalker and APC options in particular. Both brands work well with Synology and will give your NAS enough time to shut down cleanly during short power cuts. Let me know if you want help choosing the exact VA rating.
