I just purchased this for home plex server. New to this any links or videos for brand new setup? First Nas. Can you use the samsung 970's for m.2 they dont show them on the compatability list?

This is an excellent NAS choice. Yes, you can use EVO 970 SSD. Qnap is just not updating their compatibility lists.I have created a quick setup guide for you here: https://nascompares.com/guide/how-to-set-up-a-qnap-nas-qnap-first-time-installation/I hope this helps.
