SSD's for Synology 923+

#1
Greetings Guys,

I currently have 2 (1TB) drives on my PC that I store my audio compositions on. When I upload them to my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), they can be a little slow to load due to the size of the files (the virtual instruments).

I haven't gotten a NAS yet, but I would be looking at getting three (4 TB) drives with the 923+. I wasn't sure if getting the SSDs with the 923+ would help speed up the process of loading my files back into my DAW, or if I should get an SSD hard drive inside my PC instead to make it quicker and more efficient to load these files back into the DAW.

Thank you so much!

Yes, with DS923+ you can fill HDD bays fully or partially with SATA SSD. If that is not enough NVMe SSD can also be used for storage instead of caching. Storage is better then cache.
