Where does the cat6 Ethernet cable plug into from NAS?

Hi, bought the qnap TVS 472 XT thanks for the great videos on this. still waiting for my new segate 10tb drives to be back in stock. crazy embarrassing question . where does the cat6 ethernet cable plug into? my cable company router, or my imac 27, or both. I never see anyone talk on this simple starting step!

This is actually commonly asked question, and Qnap should mention this in their setup guide. But funny enough, you can plug the cable in either of these. But most common and recommend way is to connect to your broadband router/modem. Any port will work. Some people choose to connect a NAS directly to a computer to get either the fastest possible connection or privacy. I hope this helps.
