Synology DS920+ or DS923+

#1
Hello,
I have been actively following your Synology comparison videos on Youtube-excellent.
I am very new to the NAS world and was looking for 2 primary uses:
-Backup of ALL files (Video/Photo/Documents/Email)
-Viewing home videos & photos on my Sony TV from the NAS via wired or wireless
Based on the above which way should I go?
I have read about the lack of GPU on the new DS923+, but I'm not sure if that will impact my use case.
Appreciate any guidance or recommendation youcan provide.
Regards,
Tony

Yes, the new DS923+ is not good for transcoding. If you only stream locally to a compatible TV, then transcoding might not be necessary and any NAS work including cheap J series model. DS923+ is an overkill.
But DS920+ has some really good deals now. And it has more functionality than D923+.
I would certainly recommend it.

I hope this helps.
