Which nas to buy?

#1
Hello.
I have to make a purchase decision.
I didn't fill the fields on purposeConfusedtorage empty.
I need my NAS to be upgradable / expandable.
My picks are:
a) Qnap TVS-872X-i3-8G
b) DELL POWEREDGE R720 8X3,5" LFF RACK 2U with: Xeon 10C E5-2670, 32GB RAM DIMM PC3 DDR3 Registered ECC, PERC H710P,Dell 2X 10Geth RJ45 - with TRUENAS.

I need an opinion / help on which one to choose.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each solution.

I would not recommend Dell solution if you are not IT person or have an IT support purchased. It needs to be looked after.
Qnap is easier to use and it gets regular updates.
If you need it for remote access, Synology will be the most secure option as of today.
Any Synology or Qnap (Celeron or better CPU) will allow linking together multiple NAS if you need expansion.

I hope this helps.
