NAS

#1
Hello. I bought a new TV from LG. I want to have a large library of films and cartoons for my family. I want to watch 4K video without lag. It seems to me that Plex is optional, because the TV can recognize all file formats. I think that it will be enough for me to connect the NAS to a Wi-Fi router. Then I can connect the TV and NAS via LAN or Wi-Fi, then the TV will see the files and play them.

Yes, If you have a 4K smart TV, this will allow you to install a Plex app on a TV or if you prefer LG TV direct access to the NAS then you can use DLNA access over the LAN.
You can use any value series NAS such as DS218play for local streaming. TV and a NAS can be connected to your router in order for them to see each other in the local network.

I hope this helps.
