Direct connect to Synology, but no updates from DSM

I have two lan ports on my PC. One for my router and the other is a 10GB card directly connected to my Synology. How can I connect synology so it can get updates etc. Do I have to reconfigure.. My home network router is 10.0.0.1 gateway. My direct connect 10GB connection is on 10.10.10.10 with no gateway selected. I want the same connections to the internet as when it was all going through my router, but still get my direct 10GB connection from PC to NAS.

Just like you connected your PC, you also connect the second LAN port on your NAS to the router. Set that to be using an IP from DHCP. This should resolve access to updates issue.
