First nas storage?

Want maximum safety for data in case of drive failure. I do allot of photography. Also want to store and view all of my family home movies. Any help would be helpful as this is all new to me. Thanks.

Yes, a 4-bay model will allow you to have various different RAID types. You can start with RAID1 (2 drives) and then move on to RAID5 (3 or more drives). Or if you want the safest+fastest option then RAID10 with 4 drives.DS420+ / DS920+ are the flagship models allowing you to enjoy all of the functionality NAS can offer. The cheaper version will have its limitations.Synology is a great choice for multimedia and especially photo organizing.I hope this helps.
