Synology Ds918+ and iPhone sync trouble?

Hi there.

First I must say I just love ur videos on YouTube! Very informative, straight forward and No hassle.

Have a question for you, a problem I can't sort out. Have been searching all over the web and YouTube but can't seem to find a solution for this. Please also consider making a video on this topic.

I resently bought a Synology Ds918+. I have a Samsung S9 and my wife an iPhone 8. I have downloaded the Moments app on both phones. On my android the backup/syncing of photos and videos happens smoothly in the background, but on the iPhone you actually have to have the app open for the phone to sync. If you exit the app to do something else it stops syncing.

Is there a way to fix this? This actually ruins the use of the app because u litterally have to go in to the Moments app everytime u take a new photo.

As an owner of the 918+ and an iphonex , I use onedrive to backup my iphone camera roll and use cloud sync to pull it so i have 2 backups of my onedrive/google drive/ Check it out. And yes you have to leave the app open even with onedrive or amazon photos to sync, Dunno what the deal is with apple but its sorta lame no background sync...
