QuTS outside of qnap? - Enquiries - 10-10-2023
Is it possible to buy just Qnap’s QuTS hero software and run it on a home built nas?
I haven’t found this information on their website, and I don’t want to create an account just to ask them that. Maybe you know?
I like their software, I like ZFS, I like RAID10, I like Quts more than TrueNas Core (Core is a bit complicated, and heavy on the hardware resources), but I don’t like Qnap’s choice of hardware. I would like to run my own hardware with QuTS hero. Is this possible?

Not officially. But there is a cloud option though https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/tutorial/article/how-to-deploy-and-install-qutscloud-on-cloud-platforms
