Synology M2 NVme Heat Sink - Enquiries - 06-21-2023 Hello and I hate seagulls too! I recently added two 800G Synology M2NVme sticks (SNV3410) to my DS923+. You mentioned in a previous video that Synology should have catered for heat sinks for their NVmes. Can I purchase heat sinks? If so, which heat sink would you recommend I purchase to fit the Synology NVme sticks and how should I install them? You may actually consider turning this response into a short video because I am sure that a lot of people out there are scratching their head over this same question. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work! Kind regards, Guillaume RE: Synology M2 NVme Heat Sink - ed - 06-27-2023 Adding heat sinks to your Synology DS923+ with the two 800GB Synology M.2 NVMe sticks (SNV3410) can be a consideration, although it's important to note that they may not significantly alter the temperature due to the lack of a dedicated fan in that area of the NAS. However, if you still wish to proceed, you can opt for a simple 5mm heat sink. Installation is relatively straightforward. |
