Transferring data from Drobo5N2 to Synology 1821+ - Enquiries - 06-10-2023 I need to find the an easy way to copy my files from my Drobo 5n2 to my Synology 1821+. I was wondering if it’s possible to connect my Synology to another NAS directly. I’m new to Synology and it’s a bit confusing with all the options? Both my Drobo and Synology are connected by 1gb Ethernet into a 1gb switch (on the same network). I have to move 17tb of data. Would I need to keep my Mac turned on while this process is happening as DSM seems to be web based or could I connect one of the Ethernet cables from the Drobo directly to the Synology? Many thanks and apologies for the newbie question.
