Which NAS for a sole trading landscape photographer - Enquiries - 05-26-2023

Hello, Please help!

I need some advice on which NAS system to get started with. Im overrun with external hard drives full of RAW files which I need to consolidate and create a better/faster editing workflow including Lightroom, Photoshop and occasional video editing. Its only myself that uses this at home but editing raw files and large panoramic images is a must! I've watched. may of your videos but i'm still confused.

I've looked at DS420+, DS923+, DS220j and QNAPs comparable systems! I use a 2017 Retina 5K 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5.

I recently bought an 8tb HDD and a 4tb SSD which are being used in enclosures but would like to integrate these into the NAS!

Thanks for your time, any help would be greatly appreciated
Kind regards
Tristian

I would go for DS923+. It supports nvme pools, 10gbe upgrades and expansion. With your current setup, you don't want NAS to be the slowest link in the chain.
