USB UPS - Enquiries - 05-14-2023

I have two Synology Nas(s?) - a DS220J and a DS918+ - 2tb & 6tb respectively. We had a power cut the other day and Synology recommend installing a USB UPS. Is it possible to buy one to protect both or do I have to buy separate ones for each unit? And doe3s anyone have any recommendations?

Yes, you can connect both NAS to a single smart UPS. Then connect one NAS via USB and enable UPS server.
To enable Synology UPS server:
Log into the Synology NAS that is connected to the UPS device (via USB or network).
On the UPS tab, tick the Enable network UPS server checkbox to allow the Synology NAS to relay UPS information to the client Synology NAS.
