NAS for Plex and HomeAssistant - Enquiries - 05-11-2023
Hello there, I'm trying to pick the right combination of hardware to use unraid for media server (Plex) and home automation (HomeAssistant). I prefer rackmount 1U to put it in my communication wall mount rack.
The 500€ target is ONLY for hardware, no disks included.
I am more inclined to DIY solution, i have no problem in assembly.
I souls apreciate your opinion/sugestion. Thank you

You could get i5 based NUC PC with Terramaster Thunderbolt/USB DAS box. But if you do not need 4k transcoding you could even go for Pentium/Celeron based box.
Maybe there are some deals on ds920+ still around. This would fit in this price and do the job.
