Bending the DS1823xs+ to my will. - robothunter - 04-24-2023 I got myself a DS1823xs+ for better or worse, I'm not sure yet. I feel like I'm in a battle with Synology just for the right to use this thing how I want. I was able to migrate my storage pool from my plus series in order to get SHR on this thing. My wife loves red but I find green to be more calming so I used the syno hdd script to turn my unverified WD Red Pro 20TB drives from red to green. I had two 1TB IronWolf 525 drives installed and I was surprised to see the option available to set them up as a storage pool instead of just caching. I created a RAID0 just to test it out and they are working great. Unfortunately I've only got 1.8TB's of usable space and my speed is slightly limited. My question is: If I buy two 1TB SATA SSD's could I create a storage pool (RAID0 or RAID5) combining the two NVMe drives and the two SATA SSD's?
