Best hardware setup for remote viewing - Enquiries - 04-22-2023

Hello

Hopefully you can point me in the right direction. I currently have a synology 920+ 40gb storage m.2 drive cache 8 gig of memory. on the local lan it works flawlessly with out any hiccups

i also am running nvidia shield pro as the client streaming device for plex i am a plex pass subscriber

the problem i am having is in remote access older 1080p 720 p files play remote ly fine but anything new either wont play or just errors
recently upgraded internet to 1 gig on both ends still ame problem Any help on buying the right product to remote stream all newer formats would be appreciated thank you very much

You could try DS Video / Video station. If that works the issue is with Plex. Otherwise, it might be the NAS that can not cope with new media. Also, try disabling transcoding in Plex settings. your internet should fast enough for 1080p.
