How to confirm which drive stores QTS OS + apps - Enquiries - 04-10-2023

Recently upgraded from a single-drive QNAP TS-112 to TS-253D with 2 x 1TB NVMe (on a QM2-2P-244A) and 2 x 1 TB WD Red SSDs (on a QDA-A2AR, RAID 1) and a single WD Red Pro HDD.

For the initial setup, I installed *only* the 2 x 1 TB WD Red SSDs (on a QDA-A2AR, set for RAID 1) and followed your video for setting up a QNAP and updating QTS and apps without connecting to the internet.

I understand that the updated QTS will be stored on the 2 x 1 TB WD Red SSDs, but how can I verify this? And I assume that apps downloaded from QNAP's "App Center" will get installed on the same drive, but how can I make sure? I want the OS and apps running from SSD.

The rule is simple. The very first volume you create will be used for QTS system. You can check this by installing an app. The default installation path will indicate what volume is set as default destination for QTS.
