NAS for Audio? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020 Hi, I'm looking for a NAS drive, it's mainly for audio, I'll be using FLAC (24 bit hi res) files, I want to control it from my iPad and play via my Denon DRA-800H stereo receiver. I know that Synology audio station, but I wondered if QNAP or Terramaster have equivalents, especially with Terramaster have a 4 bay for the same price as the Synology 218+. I'll also be backing up my macbook via timemachine. Thanks in advance. Paul NAS for Audio? - ed - 02-11-2021 Yes, Synology would be the best choice indeed. But QNAP also has very similar functionality. Their Audio station app does support FLAC and other popular lossless audio files.Any model will easily cope with these files.I hope this helps. |
