RS1219+ and 18TB compatibility - Enquiries - 04-05-2023
Hi,
I have a RS1219+ and was looking to update the HD to 18 TB but on the Synology compatibility site, there is no 18 TB HD are listed.
Do you know if I buy 18 TB HD, they will work in this NAS and if yes, are they any drawback to use none compatibility HD on this NAS?

As long as you use SATA drives, they will work. You may get a warning, but you can remove it like this https://nascompares.com/answer/hdd-compatibility-warning-way-to-disable-it-synology-storage-manager-will-display-an-incompatible-or-unverified-message/
Synology warranty will remain, but support might be limited.
