Hello again, for ease of use, security, external access to shared folders (folders and subfolders) but exclusively Word, Excel files. Rather webDAV or SMB ? We don't have firewall. Best regards. Patrick Otten.

I would not recommend webDAV . SMB combined with Tailscale VPN is better and faster option.
