Gaming NAS - Enquiries - 03-15-2023 Good night. Is it possible to play games via a NAS. I am on a ship where I have to watch my power consumption because the power is supplied via batteries on the ship. Now I have a very heavy gaming desktop that requires quite a lot of power from the batteries. At home I have a small Qnap nas the TS-230 for plex mainly. If it were possible that I could play games via a NAS. Which NAS/setup would you recommend to me. Yours sincerely J.D.Hoogerdijk RE: Gaming NAS - ed - 03-17-2023 You need to look at the bottlenecks. You could get a Xeon or core i5 NAS (ts-674) from Qnap and install Windows and games on it. Then connect via remote desktop, TeamViewer etc. But the internet speed might not be great for the framerate. |
