Adding to Synology DS920+an unsupported disk - Enquiries - 12-11-2022

Hi,
I have a Synology DS920+ with 2 WD140EFFX in SHR raid mode. Now, I have bought two WD161KFGX thinking of adding them to the storage pool as I am finishing the space.
Now, my fault: I did not watch the compatibility list, so these two new disks are not officially compatible with Synology products. If I try to add them to the storage pool, the system alerts me that important data could be lost.
In your opinion and experience, should I continue the operation and hope not to loose everything or it is better to take two other compatible disks and use the 16TB ones as a backup or something else?
Thank you,
Stefano

Yes, this is just their marketing trick - scaremongering into their overpriced Toshiba drives.
It will work.
