Nas for video editing - Enquiries - 11-21-2022 Hi, i was at first looking at the QNAP TS-H973AX-8G but the price jumped dramaticaly with 333euros more than when i looked at it so i'm looking for a alternative. (i've already a 10gb card on my PC ) Is the less powerfull TS-932PX would be enought or should i go to a over nas with similar CPU like the TS-873A I will have a raid5 of 4SSD as main partition from which i will work ( already bought the SSD) and later another raid5 of 4/5 HDD which will act a little more as cold storage. (backed up in backblaze) if you have any other suggestion i'm open to other brand. Thx a lot in advance ! RE: Nas for video editing - ed - 11-24-2022 Qnap TS-932PX is really weak NAS. It is made for backups. But you could achieve some decent speeds for video editing as a single user. But if you need something future-proof, I would rather get TS-664 as an absolute minimum. But if you need something serious to work with then Qnap 73A series or 72XT or even 88X models would do the job. https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/product/?conditions=2-4,3-3 I hope this helps. |
